Regulatory Education Program

(Toronto, ON) – The College of Naturopaths of Ontario is pleased to announce its preliminary line up for the Regulatory Education Program (REP) for 2024.
The Regulatory Education Program provides Registrants as well as members of the public access to free virtual educational programming that is focused directly on key regulatory concepts and rules. It is intended to allow Registrants and the public to learn more about the regulatory framework which governs NDs in Ontario and to help NDs not only comply, but to avoid potential issues that present a risk of harm to the public.
The following topics are scheduled for 2024:
- Complaints and Investigations – March 11, 2024 @ 11:30 am
- Delegation – April 26, 2024 @ 12:30 pm
- Understanding Drugs and Substances – May 13, 2024 @ 12:00 pm
- Regulated Health Professionals and the Patient’s Pathway – June 10, 2024 @ 11:30 am
- Mandatory Reporting Requirements – July 17, 2024 @ 12:00 pm
- Record Keeping – August 12, 2024 @ 12:00 pm
- Privacy of Patient Health Records – November 2024 @ 11:30 am
- Substitute Decision Making – December 13, 2024 @ 12:30 pm
All sessions run for approximately one hour and, subject to final approval by the Quality Assurance Committee, are eligible for 1 continuing education credit in jurisprudence. Our presenters are registrants of the College with extensive regulatory experience. Sessions are supported by knowledgeable College staff.
