DutiesThe Audit Committee is responsible for reviewing and making recommendations to the Council for approval with respect to the annual financial statements, the Auditor’s Report on the annual financial statements, and related issues including accounting practices and financial controls.  
Work volumeThe Committee meets 2 or 3 times annually between June and July for half-day meetings.  
CompensationAs set out in the Council’s Per Diem Policy.  
Knowledge baseIn addition to the competency requirements set by the Council, individuals should have a good understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
