Andrew Parr is the current Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the College. Andrew was appointed as Registrar of the transitional Council of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario in August 2010 by the Lieutenant Governor in Council. The appointment was made after an extensive search by a third-party company on behalf of the transitional Council and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, of which Andrew was the successful candidate.
On July 1, 2015 upon proclamation of the Naturopathy Act, 2007, Andrew became the Registrar of the College Naturopaths of Ontario. His appointment was ratified by the newly elected/appointed Council in January 2016.
Prior to joining the College in August 2010, Andrew had been working in the not-for-profit sector for more than 20 years including eight of which he served as the Executive Director and CEO of the association for registered massage therapists in Ontario. Andrew also served as the Executive Director of the Canadians Society of Association Executives – Trillium Chapter for ten years through a successful association management firm he had established.
Andrew has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Politics from Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario and has attained his CAE (Certified Association Executive) from the Canadian Society of Association Executives, a certification based on 44 competencies necessary to the not-for-profit sector.
