Call for Submissions - Scheduled Substances and Laboratory Tests
The Scheduled Substances Review Committee is now accepting submissions for recommendations to amend the following:
- The list of tests authorized under section 8(1) of the General Regulation of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario;
- The list of tests authorized under the Laboratory Specimen Collection Centre Licensing Act and the regulation made thereunder; and
- The schedules of substances (Tables 1 though 6) established under the General Regulation of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario.
All completed submissions will be reviewed and considered by the Scheduled Substances Review Committee. The Committee will then make recommendations to the Council as to which proposed changes to the testing and substances are of the highest priority and should move forward in the process of being submitted for expert review. Following receipt of the Expert Report for each proposed substance and/or laboratory test the Committee will review the information and make recommendations to the Council for amendments to the applicable regulations.
All proposed regulation amendments will be circulated for a minimum 60-day public consultation. At that time all members of the public, the profession and stakeholders will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the draft regulation changes. The Council will review all feedback received and will make any changes it deems appropriate before submitting a Regulation Amendment Proposal to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
