Registering an IVIT Premises


Existing Premises

Every premises where IVIT procedures are currently being performed and intend to continue to provide these services must be registered with the College no later than May 1, 2017. These premises are referred to as "existing premises." The Designated Member for each existing premises is required to complete and submit the "Registering an IVIT Premises Form - Existing" (below) to the College. 

PLEASE NOTE: Existing premises that do not Register by the deadline of May 1, 2017, will not be allowed to continue to administer IVIT or compound for IVIT at the unregistered premises and must immediately stop performing these procedures. In order to resume these services, the premises must register as a new premises. Please see the Inspection Program Handbook for more information.

The College will conduct inspections of all existing premises between May 2, 2017 and March 2, 2019.

New Premises

After May 2, 2017, any premises that intends to begin offering IVIT procedures cannot provide these services until it is registered with the College as a new premises, and has undergone Part I of the inspection program and achieved an outcome of a pass, or a pass with conditions that allows the premises to begin performing IVIT procedures.

The College will conduct Part I of the inspection within 180 days of receiving the Registering an IVIT Premises form.
